Ezra Pound died in Venice, Italy. He was an American Poet and critic some say that he helped "push forward" modern poetry. He helped promote and even shared other poets poems around the world such as William Butler Yeast and James Joyce. His "pro-Fascist" broadcast during the Italy WWII led to his postwar arrest and confinement until 1958. Pound attended Cheltenham Military Academy for two years. He left with out graduating and attended a local highschool. Later on he went to University of Pennsivania and met one of his great friends, poet William Carlos Williams. in 1907 Pound became a professor of Romance Languages at Wabash Presbyterian College. He later went on to Europe to continue to market his rejected articles. In June 1908 he published at his own expense a book of poems called "A Lume Spento" Later that year he went to London where he met editor and writer Ford Madox Ford who eventually published him in the English Review.
